Our licensed premises insurance policy covers the following as standard:
Business contents - Our policy covers your trade contents and stock against a range of perils including explosion, fire, storm damage, malicious damage and theft involving forcible and violent entry or exit from the premises. Cover also includes the leakage of beer & beverages from pumped containers and subsequent damage to contents.
Business interruption - This helps you stay in business by covering loss of gross profit and reasonable expenditure incurred as a result of a loss covered under Section 1 of the policy. A gross profit sum insured of £500,000 with an indemnity period of 12 months is our standard cover.
Loss of accounts receivable - Covers money up to a maximum limit of £25,000 that customers owe your business, but cannot be collected, due to a loss covered under Section 1 of the policy to your books of account or business records.
Loss of liquor licence - If for any reason you lose your licence due to circumstances outside of your control then we will cover you up to £100,000 against loss of profit or the depreciation in the value of your property should it be sold.
Public and Products Liability - Provides cover of up to £2,000,000 for sums you become legally liable to pay in respect of accidental injury to any person or accidental loss or damage to their material property happening in the course of your business or caused by the nature or condition of anything sold or supplied by your business.
Employer's Liability - Provides cover of up to £10,000,000 for sums you become legally liable to pay as damages, together with your legal costs and expenses relating to an injury to an employee for which you are legally liable.
Our licensed premises insurance cover automatically includes the following extensions as standard:

Buildings - Covers the cost of rebuilding your premises and has the option of including subsidence cover.
Subsidence - This provides cover for damage to your premises as a result of subsidence, ground heave or landslip.
Theft by employees - Covers against a direct loss as a result of fraud or dishonesty involving the theft of money or contents by an employee up to the maximum value of £5,000 in any one policy period.
All risks specified items - Provides cover for any specified items used away from the business premises, throughout the whole of the UK and for up to 30 consecutive days elsewhere in the world.
Computer breakdown - Provides cover for loss or damage caused by computer breakdown or failure up to a value specified by you. Cover also extends to include:
Terrorism - Covers you against damage to your property from the effect of acts of terrorism upto the maximum sums insured of Section 1 - Contents and Section 5 - Buildings.
Commercial Legal Protection is an optional cover designed to cover your legal expenses in certain circumstances as detailed in the Policy Document. This section is underwritten by DAS Legal Expenses Insurance Company Limited who are not part of the Allianz group of companies.

Significant Exclusions or Limitations for Commercial Legal Protection:
These are some of the exclusions that apply to the policy. There are also further provisions such as those relating to alarms and the effect on a claim if the value of property insured is greater than the sum insured you have selected, as well as general conditions and exclusions. Details of these can be found in the policy document. Other additional terms & conditions may be applied in certain cases. Excesses apply to certain types of claims.
Damage to signs - Cover excludes neon signs. See Extension 2 of Section 1 for terms and conditions.
Stock in any cellar - or basement must be placed on racks at least 150mm above floor level - see Section 1 of the Policy Document - Contents of the Licensed Premises item A2 and A3, for terms and conditions.
Goods in Transit (Security) - If vehicle is left unattended it must be locked at all points of access and in addition it must be garaged in enclosed premises which are securely locked or have a watchman in constant attendance between the hours of 9pm and 6am. See Section 1 item E3 of the Policy Document for terms and conditions.
Goods in Transit (Frozen or Chilled Foods) - Cover excludes deterioration of goods due to faulty stowage, incorrect setting or operation of the equipment or variations in temperature unless directly due to fire, or accident to the vehicle or theft or attempted theft. See Section 1, Extension 3, Exclusion a) for terms and conditions.
Money on Premises - Money left unattended and not contained in a locked safe will be limited to £500. See Extension 5 of Section 1 for terms and conditions.
Transition Condition - Is a condition precedent to liability that whenever money in transit exceeds £2,500 at any one time:
Personal Accident - Assault - Age limits of 16 to 70 apply. Compensation for death, loss of limb or sight only applies if they occur within two years of sustaining the bodily injury. See Extension 6 of Section 1 for terms and conditions.
Property in the Open - Cover excludes loss or damage to moveable property caused by storm or flood.
Unoccupancy - We must be notified immediately if any Licensed Premises becomes unoccupied and a suitable extra premium paid if required. See Clause H of Section 1 of terms and conditions.
Business Interruption - Loss of gross profit to your business following the failure of the public supply of electricity, gas, water or telecommunications is limited to interruption caused by destruction or damage occurring at the premises of the supplier. See Section 2 Extension 4 of the Policy document for terms and conditions.
Pollution or Contamination - Is excluded other than by a sudden and unforeseeable incident which takes place in its entirety at a specific time and place during the Period of Insurance - see section 3(b) of the Policy Document - Public and Products Liability, item C. Pollution or contamination occurring in the USA or Canada is excluded.
Asbestos Exclusion - Only applicable to Public and Products Liability. We will not be liable for legal liability in respect of injury, loss or damage directly or indirectly caused by arising from in consequence of or in any way involving asbestos.
Provided that this exclusion shall not apply to liability for injury or loss of or damage caused by any commodity, article or thing containing asbestos where the presence of asbestos is not in itself a direct or indirect cause of such injury or loss or damage.
Minimum standards of security apply - Theft and theft of money is excluded unless the security requirements are fully complied with.
