In order for small business insurance holders to get the most out of their online content, they should invest in content management and systems (CMS) and customer relationships management (CRM) services.

Siim Vips, chief executive officer at Modera, claims that many small business insurance customers do not maximise the potential of their websites through poor access and a lack of control.

By introducing CMS and CRM, firms can build and manage their online business and all of their promotional requirements.

"Many businesses do not optimise their content because, unfortunately, they do not have control and even worse access to their sites. Content management and systems and customer relationships management services circumvent these issues," Mr Vips says.

In other news, research from Mr Site and PayPal has found that more than half of small businesses do not have a website and could be missing out on £52,000 each year in lost sales.
