Scottish businesses selling alcohol could be facing new legislation changes including a ban on selling drink to anyone under 21.Licensee website the Morning Advertiser reports the Scottish government is thinking of raising the alcohol purchasing age for those buying from supermarkets.A minimum price per unit of alcohol is also a possibility, as is a ban on irresponsible drink promotions.According to the site, a Scottish government source told the Sunday Times: "We simply cannot go on allowing shops to sell super-strength beer and lager for less than the price of water."In May a Scottish politician said drink should not be sold for less than a set price following violent clashes between Scottish fans of Rangers and Russian fans of Zenit St Petersberg following football's Uefa Cup final in Manchester.Justice minister Kenny MacAskill was quoted by the Glasgow Sunday mail as saying it was "perverse" that a bottle of cider could be bought for less than a bottle of water in Scotland.
