Maintaining the relationship between hotel insurance holders and travel companies is essential, an expert asserts.
BlueSky's managing director Mark Fallon highlights the "constant renegotiations" affecting rates, the price and the details of the sale as crucial.
These all rely on their being an existing connection with hotel insurance owners in the areas where travel companies send individuals, he states.
"You are providing value for your customers through negotiation and purchase value so you have got to be very careful that you don't lose that relationship with your hoteliers," he advises.
Mr Fallon says the presence of an intermediary or contacts can slow down the discussion process, as everybody has access to aggregators.
He suggests that the existence of these technologies means that these relationships are additionally important for arranging services which provide the lowest prices.
Recently, greenbee.com published research showing that eight per cent of UK travellers spend eight hours online reading reviews of the services prior users have created.
