Pub licensees who are breathing a sigh of relief in anticipation of the end of the football season are being warned not to relax quite yet, it has emerged.
Media Protection Services, the company which prosecutes on behalf of the FA Premier League, has said that pubs should expect raids to continue over the coming months.
Ray Hoskin, managing director of the company, said: "Following raids in Blackburn and Northampton weve been working closely with Trading Standards and police in other parts of the country and are confident they will be carrying out more searches," reports the Morning Advertiser.
"They will be looking for illegal decoder cards."
The news comes as the landlady of a pub in Buntingford has defended her establishment's reputation after the pub, the Brambles, was subjected to three police raids in three weeks.
