A Hampshire company has been caught selling alcohol to an underage teenager in the Titchfield area, which could interest those with pub insurance.
The Bugle sold alcohol to a teenager working as part of a police operation without checking his identification, the Daily Echo reports.
It was the one firm out of the fourteen pubs and off-licenses assessed which failed to challenge the youth, according to the newspaper.
Roy Jennings, a sergeant with the Hampshire Constabulary, tells the news provider that the juveniles working with the force were confronted in the majority of cases, those with pub insurance may be interested to discover.
He states: "The fact that all but one premise passed is a really positive outcome which I believe shows that the majority of the licensing trade are taking their responsibilities more seriously."
In other news of interest for pub insurance owners, the British Beer and Pub Association has called for the government to reduce the tax rate applied to beer.
