An event in the north-east is to look at how manufacturing insurance holders will prosper in the future.
The inaugural Manufacturing Advisory Service (MAS) Congress will take place at Newcastle's Centre for Life in Times Square on November 26th and will include delegates from organisations such as delivery partners, regional development agencies and UK MAS centres.
During the event, special focus will be placed on how manufacturing insurance holders can enter the low-carbon market, develop advanced production techniques and improve their workforce skills.
Ian Williams, director of business and industry at regional development agency One North East, commented: "The MAS Congress is an important event for the region. It provides us with the opportunity to showcase how well our regional MAS north-east service works."
Recent research from the Confederation of British Industry found a net 45 per cent of manufacturing insurance holders reported below-normal order book levels in the last three months.
However, it also showed that firms expect their volume of output to increase in the next quarter.
