Commercial vehicle manufacturer Iveco is celebrating after its Daily model was voted van of the Year by What Van? magazine.
According to Henk van Leuven, managing director of Iveco UK, said that the award for the Daily - which was launched a year ago - was "particularly well-deserved".
"The fact that it is awarded by a team comprising the most experienced light commercial vehicle road testers in the industry highlights just how strong our Daily range is," he remarked.
The accolade also demonstrates that Iveco can be a "serious contender" within the market for both fleet and retail vans, he added.
In related news, Iveco's Stralis Active Space Super tractor unit was recently voted Drivers' Truck of the Year 2007 by TruckNet UK.
The company's commercial vehicle was awarded 350 marks out of a possible 500 by a jury of five members from the professional drivers' website.
