An Indian restaurant chain is to open 50 outlets across the country by the end of 2009 as it continues an international expansion plan.Tiffinbites is also searching for master franchisees for other countries with executives saying 2008 is set to be an exciting year for the firm.The Franchise Magazine reports the company is aiming to create a global brand after developing a package with a Franchise specialist.Quoted by the magazine, Tiffinbites founder Jamal Hiran said: "Indian cuisine is firmly established as the UK's favourite food and opening an Indian restaurant now is a great way to spice up your profit potential."Tiffinbites uses Tandoor ovens in all its kitchens to produce freshly baked naan and serves food in traditional Tiffin boxes.The chain's food recently came top in a taste test comparing dishes to own-brand Indian dishes produced by a range of UK supermarkets.Top chef Vineet Bhatia scored twice as high as its nearest supermarket rival in the blindfolded test, which strengthened the firm's claims it supplies to best take-away Indian food in London.
