Hotel insurance customers are doing the most to get a good deal on their energy bills, it has been revealed.
Research carried out by price switching service Make It Cheaper found that accommodation providers are three-and-a-half times more likely than the average business insurance customer to switch supplier to get the best deal.
Wholesalers were found to be the next most conscientious about energy bills, followed by pub insurance policy holders, manufacturers and post offices.
Jonathan Elliott, managing director of the company, commented: "There are two types of business that switch regularly: those such as in the hospitality industry with a high consumption of energy in relation to their size and those on tight budgets that simply can't afford not to."
Earlier this month, Make It Cheaper recommended that companies appeal to the Valuation Office Agency over unfair business rates in order to save money in the current economic climate.
