Small business insurance holders in north Staffordshire could benefit from the opening of a new facility.
The Home Business Hub, based at the Uttoxeter Business Centre on Dovefields Business and Retail Park, was launched last week to provide hot desk and networking space for the county's entrepreneurs.
Up to 100 home-based small business insurance holders are expected to be helped each year by being offered cost-effective facilities where they can hold meetings and access cutting-edge technology.
Judith Kirkland of Business Enterprise Support, which is delivering the project, said: "Research from home-based entrepreneurs was telling us that one of the barriers to their growth and winning new contracts was that they didn't have a suitable venue to hold meetings in."
Small business insurance holders in the region could see further support offered in the future, as Staffordshire County Council plans to open similar hubs at its enterprise centres in Stafford, Newcastle-under-Lyme, Burton-upon-Trent and Cannock.
Earlier this month, a new business centre was opened in north Warwickshire to offer support to people looking to start or expand their own companies.
