People can make environmentally-friendly changes to their offices without having to spend a great deal of money, it has been claimed.
Dr Chris Moon, head of sustainability services at Green Your Office, said that companies can "strategically decide" to try eco-friendly alternatives and implement policies which take the environment into account.
However, such steps no not necessarily need to be complex or expensive, Mr Moon commented.
"Often the simplest and cheapest changes are the most meaningful," he remarked.
By implementing these kinds of measures, business could potentially save thousands of pounds, he added.
According to Envirowise, 79 per cent of small to medium-sized businesses consider environmental issues to be of importance to them, with 48 per cent claiming to be more active in this area now than a year earlier.
However, one-third of these businesses have yet to take an action on such issues.
