The Forum of Private Business (FPB) has offered small businesses in the UK the chance to debate the issues that affect them using an online forum.

It is hoped the service will also strengthen the FPB's voice, according to Philip Moody - a senor member services representative for the organisation.

The FPB states that it will also use the service to highlight some of its own campaigns. These include discussions on "the burden of tax and red tape", education and skills, and unfair competition.

Originally established in 1977, the forum - which is classed as a private company - represents 25,000 private businesses.

Funded by its members, the FPB states that its aim is to "[fight] for fair treatment of private businesses by decision-makers and supports the profitable growth of members".

Earlier this month, the forum said that it welcomed revised proposals on the capital gains tax produced by the government, but said it would continue to campaign for a "better deal".
