Business insurance holders should make more effort to engage with their employees to create future success, an independent review has claimed.
According to the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills, the MacLeod Review of employee engagement has called on business insurance customers to take greater steps in placing their relationship with workers at the centre of plans.
In addition, David MacLeod and Nita Clarke, the study's leaders, said that the government should help to support business insurance holders which are attempting to boost employee engagement to take advantage of new opportunities.
Mr MacLeod explained: "This is about unleashing the potential of people at work and enabling them to be the best they can be. Whether we are in a downturn or in better economic times, engagement is a key to innovation and competitiveness. "
Ms Clarke added that employers can unlock the full potential of the workers through simple steps such as recognising the contribution they make to their organisation's success.
Recently, psychologist Dr Tom Muha wrote on hometownannapolis.com that the key to creating highly motivated employees is for bosses to build good relationships with them.
