The Campaign for Real Ale (Camra) has launched a campaign to get people to make the most of their local, independent pub.It says that at least 56 pubs - mainly privately owned - close in Britain every month.As a response to this Camra is changing the focus of its community pubs week in an attempt to get more people to make use of their local.The event will run from Saturday February 16th until Saturday 23rd.Camra promises a "week of action to help raise the profile and importance of pubs in the community and encourage people of all ages and backgrounds to use community pubs more".Last Thursday the Morning Advertiser reported that senior figures in the drinks industry expected pubs to face a tough year in 2008.Steve Kitching of InBev UK told the website: "If consumers are tightening their belts it will have an impact on leisure spending and this may affect the frequency of pub visits in the year ahead."
