A local authority has used its powers for the first time to shut down a bar for six weeks, pub insurance holders may be interested to discover.
Bangor's O'Sheas Tavern has failed three test purchases by under-18s and has been the centre of concerns about anti-social behaviour in the area.
John Jones, the Gwynedd council member responsible for public protection, claims the decision was not taken lightly, which could interest pub insurance holders.
He states: "Due to the representations made by North Wales Police and advice from council officers we felt we had no option but to take this step to suspend the license."
Among the conditions which will be imposed on the pub include installing an effective CCTV system, challenging those who appear under the age of 21 and working with the police to reduce the number of violent incidents taking place.
Earlier this month, the Daily Echo reported that the Bugle in Titchfield has been caught selling alcohol to teenagers without requiring identification.
