The availability of bank loans must be actively promoted to business insurance holders, an organisation asserts.
A spokeswoman for the Federation of Small Business claims a number of its members have successfully obtained financing.
She says this is a positive sign as commercial insurance holders have been struggling to achieve access to these funds for a "long time".
Others have not been aware about the availability of these facilities and this is concerning, she states.
The representative comments: "Our only concern is that we want this scheme to be properly advertised by both the banks and the government
the money is starting to trickle through but we need more than that now."
She says access to finance is the next area which needs to be addressed on the behalf of business insurance holders.
Last week, the British Bankers' Association and Lord Peter Mandelson announced that £40 million of business loans have been provided under the Enterprise Finance Guarantee scheme.
