Restaurant insurance holders may be interested to know that vouchers offering savings on meals are the most popular in the UK.
According to Moneysupermarket Vouchers, almost £3 million a year is being saved by Britons when dining out.
Nearly 20 per cent of those questioned said they now eat out regularly because of the savings, with 14 million cut-price meals being served up every month.
Over half of respondents said they look at what coupons are available before deciding where to go, while restaurant insurance holders may be interested to know that 22 per cent will not go to a venue unless it offers a deal.
Sian Harrison, voucher expert at moneysupermarket.com, said: "More and more restaurants are realising the benefits of offering money-off vouchers as a way of keeping tables full."
She added that the number of deals added by restaurant insurance holders to her website has swelled by 400 per cent year-on-year.
Managing director of the Sustainable Restaurant Association Simon Happner recently remarked that restaurant insurance holders are making sustainable changes.
