Companies could be reviewing their business insurance needs as a second cold snap sweeps across the country.
The Met Office is warning of disruption from snow and ice over the weekend, with temperatures dropping below zero once again.
Forecasters said there could be heavy snow in western parts of the country, spreading to the south later on.
Severe weather warnings are in place, with most of the country set to be affected by icy roads.
Met Office chief forecaster Martin Young said: "There is an ongoing risk of snow across the UK through the weekend with the potential for significant snow leading to disruption on Saturday.
"We are continuing to keep a close eye on how the forecast develops over the next day or so."
Meanwhile, wintry weather has continued to disrupt business deliveries, with several major retailers refusing to take new festive orders in some parts of the country.
Many companies have warned consumers that they may not receive their goods in time for December 25th.
