As one expert claims that an increasing number of business travellers will be heading to London in the build-up to the 2012 Olympics, now could be a good time for those in the hospitality sector to consider the level of hotel insurance they have.

Jacqueline French, spokesperson for Visit London, states that as the games approach, more businesspeople will be coming to the capital's hotels to hold meetings and conferences.

"That's going to have a really positive effect on the hotels industry because they'll be coming in having their conferences throughout the year," she claims.

Due to an influx in guests, businesses may want to consider the level of protection that their hotel insurance policy affords them.

Indeed, taking the time to check hotel insurance in anticipation of a rise in visitors could be advisable, as a study released by Visit London in July showed that the number of people who visited London's attractions in June was some 6.3 per cent above the number for the same period last year.
