Small business insurance policyholders may want to follow the advice of one expert and set up a blog on their company website.
Navigate Consulting founder Nick Baggott states that having such an online tool can be an effective way for firms to highlight their opinions on certain areas and manage their reputation.
"Blogs are dynamic and can be quickly and easily updated without the need for great expertise and this is of particular benefit to small businesses," he claims.
Mr Baggott notes the distinction between a blog and the rest of a business's website, indicating the former is "about talking" rather than promoting a firm's services.
However, small business insurance customers may wish to bear in mind his advice that blogs need to be updated on a regular basis, as "the more often you do it the more valuable it is".
Indeed, a recent study by EPiServer revealed that while 40 per cent of companies' websites featured some form of blog, only a third of these are regularly updated - something small business insurance policyholders could be interested to note.
