The small businessmen and women of the future are being given a boost by a campaign which aims to encourage entrepreneurship, according to the Guardian.
The scheme, entitled Make Your Mark, is expected to be set up in schools across the country offering young people advice and support on setting up new business ideas.
A spokeswoman for the Make Your Mark project, Catherine Ritman-Smith, told the newspaper that although such schemes could often be difficult to maintain the group would endeavour to offer support wherever possible.
"[We aim] to help young people to make enterprising ideas happen in a supportive environment. We want to make it really easy for teachers and learners to nurture enterprise talent and empower young people to take the lead," she said.
The scheme is jointly founded by the Confederation of British Industry, the British Chambers of Commerce, the Institute of Directors and the Federation of Small Businesses and opens with Enterprise Week which runs from November 12th-18th.
Enterprise Week is a national scheme which last year saw 3,184 events organised by 1,410 organisations for young people.
